Meh, i'm one of those guys that doesn't really care what the car looks like, just how it performs. Cars are cars to me, not art. Seeing what i drive daily would probably illustrate my point nicely.

it may have a neon body, but the fact there is one here in indy running 10's or faster for next year is enough to convince me not ALL neons are "just neons"

The Neon(s) that Silvertuner is talking about is/are 1g ACRs, yes. One 2 door, one 4 door.

The faster of the two retains the 420a, the other has "budget" SRT4 motor using a Cirrus block and other stuffs. Both are monstrously fast.

And in fact, the one i raced this season was also an ACR. Woooo!!!!

All I've got here is the Laguna Seca Raceway.

It was built for ITA club racing, i was just running it in the local Autox events in FSP or ESP depending on event and competition.

Motor was mostly stock. Intake, header, exhaust, mopar chip i think is really all it had. Gutted, caged, r-comps, blah blah blah.

Actually, i think he might be?

He jumped over 150whp with the new head, and as far as i know, he's down to a 10.25@150.4mph.

    He put down 735whp on 30psi + 100shot.

I'd rather do that. That's easy.

I still have to tap into my headlight switch, and construct another fused circuit to run the remaining pieces off of. Yuck. You're looking at about 4 hours of work yesterday, and it really doesn't look like much, does it? Depressing.

Thinking of using Glowshift gauges for both voltage and oil pressure in conjunction with the AEM wideband (when I get it) for a 3-pod pillar.

Glowshift sucks, don't do it. Their gauges are unreliable, senders often innaccurate, blah blah blah.

If you're going to go cheap, at least spring for Prosport.

    Really?

I've read good things about them on a few forums. They're not much cheaper compared to Autometer (about $10 bucks extra per gauge) so it wasn't for that but mainly aesthetics. Their 7-color gauges caught my eye but nevermind that now lol.

Autometer is a better gauge, but they're hideous, and somewhat hard to read at night depending on what model you got.

    Anyways, PM coming your way.

    Thanks bro.

Won't be able to get them just yet though, I've got a WTB thread for some SRT4 rims (I want to get rid of my chrome) and plan on getting some Yoko or Kumho's tomorrow (that's another $500+).

Just thought I'd hit the aesthetics of things since I've yet to do that at all. Want to black out my car by; tinting the rear passenger/rear windows darker, painting the car a jet black or gunmetal gray, painting the chrome door handles a flat black, and getting some flat black SRT rims....maybe some Enkei's later on (something more light weight). Oh ya and removing all the decals minus the Porsche Turbo emblem on the rear.

As for performance, I'm just sitting parts aside. It'll be a beast once I get everything installed!

In the meantime, I'll have to find a place around here that's known for their tuning. There's a place I can run my car on a dyno but I don't know much about them (only one in my town).

Anyway, how's your car coming along?

Let me know when you're ready to tire shop. I'm a tire snob.

    Which car?

The MX6 is just about done for this stage. The pics above were after i finished up some wiring. I have about 4 hours left before it fires again. I've gotta calibrate my wideband, clean up the installs a little, get the Greddy Profec B Spec II wired up and set up (UGH, this thing is a pita), then just throw some fluids in there and she's set to go for another round. Then once it warms up the built/cammed head and the shorted/extrude honed/polished intake manifold will go on. I should hit ~350whp/450wtq+. Still on just a stock chipped ECU, breathing through the factory VAF.

I'm picking up the new motor for the Escort next weekend. 2.5 quad cam V6, 200hp. (plus all bolt ons, of course. Looking to end up around 220whp n/a in a 2200lb car) That car should be done by first Autox of the season, will be running SMS (street mod, street tire) against an Integra Type R, a K20-swapped Integra GSR, and my Celica if that gets done this season. It should keep up with the Integras pretty well, but it's not going to get the Celica. Of course, i'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before the Celica gets "outlawed" in that class anyways.
