    Thanks guys.

Hoping they'll be in today or tomorrow, then again I'd need to 'schedule' an appointment for them to put the tires on my rims+balance.

I'll get some BEFORE (better ones) and AFTER pics.

So, I just got off the phone with Dskip and the tire company called...tires came in and they're squeezing me in for installation at 1230

One thing I didn't expect though, just got home and saw that in my mail I received orders. Think they're going to call me back to active duty, we'll see.

Thanks bro, and I'm not sure but I'm going to have to go through some screening/etc over in San Mateo (about 2hrs from here, near San Fran).

I'm on my 4 years inactive, since I already did my 4+ active.

Did those tires improve your SQ at all?

    THEY DID! :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

The Kuhmo's created a tiny bit more road noise in the cabin, especially when going over little bumps and such.

The 'kooks are sticky as hell, just glad I've got a good tire on the car now.

Well, I don't know if I told you but I want to get rid of the chrome and just take away as much 'bling' as possible.

The current rims have a nice curve on the spokes and I doubt they'll look good if they're flat. SRT rims on the other hand are the same exact size/bolt pattern/etc. and look good as a flat black. It'll match the Turbo badge on the rear hatch as well as the tinted windows and door handles that I plan on painting (flat black or satin).

How's the Jetta coming? You haven't sent me a pic in awhile

more boost should do that pretty easily. if i could take a 3k lb ek coupe on a stock engine deep into the 12's (potentially faster if i could drive) im sure ur turbo cruiser should be able to do it.

btw, nvm on the shoes, too gimmicky for me, heh. ill stick with my DC's lol

A 50 trim would do the trick (plus bigger injectors, wahlbro fuel pump and few other things).

Some guys in the PT world have pushed the stocker to +26 (I'm spiking at 20lbs), but I can't recall what else they run exactly or who tuned their vehicle for them. Normally though, best way to go is with a bigger turbo. There's only so much we can take from the SRT guys (it's alot don't get me wrong) but a few of us are limited due to transmission+weight.

After touching up the aesthetics (rims+door handles), I'm going to start pulling off stuff such as the A/C and several other things.

Oh and, I used to wear DC's...hell I've worn every skate shoe brand out there but the Jordan's were just too damn light, too damn comfortable, and too damn well ventilated to pass up. You should try on a pair  They should be alot cheaper, I got mine when they first came out around Sept? At about $150+

Oh and btw, when you start raising the boost and such...the A/F ratios are way off! Stock, the PT loves to run rich but immediately after a few mods it's running lean as hell. I'm just stacking up parts until I get my wideband in.

As for the engine, the stock internals are good for a good # of hp so that's no concern

Sarcasm only takes you so far

I've never had hands-on on a honda, then again I've never been a fan. There are more 'ricers' than actual tuners here, and +95% of them run hondas. There is one guy close to where I live (forget the club he's in) that has a late 90's T78 Supra. Don't get me started on the Mustang fanboy's out here

Anyway, I've always been more of a bike-fan than car.....so bare with me

yes, but when u've owned a vehicle that could keep up with modded 600's its nice having that extra metal around you. and after riding that same 600cc gsxr with a 70 tooth rear sprocket i can say the bike is more fun lol
