Thanks to danz1906, I am a true believer in the JL Audio F113 sub-woofer. I recently bought a pair for my HT room and am amazed at the sound they produce for movies and music.

They do get very low and will shake the house if they are not dialed in properly.

A good DVD to use if you want to have some fun (with the F113's) is Despicable Me. Funny movie with lots (did I say lots) of bass.

Thanks again danz1906 for the F113 recommendation.

    Your Welcome Bro-Enjoy those Subs:biggrin:

Alrighty, after almost breaking my back moving these heavy babies around quite a few times to identify the sweet spot, I'd like to report that it's all set!!! For this room, apparently positioning the dual F113s near the front wall and inside the front left and right speakers is the ideal setting; I've also moved the front speakers, all 3 Left-Center-Right, away from the wall a bit more, making them on the same line with the subwoofers.
The first time I turned them on and played some heavy hitting scenes of U-571, they scared the **** outa me, I litterally jumped while the windows rattled big time. These Fathom subs really shamed my old MP4K.
The most important thing to remember is to run the AV processor's built-in sound calibration before messing with the F113's A.R.O. I ran my Denon AVR-4810ci Audyssey calibration, of course trimming the F113s level down a bit via the Audyssey's SW Level Matching. Then it was the JL A.R.O's turn (make sure to turn the master level back to zero before running this A.R.O, and afterwards turn it to the original setting from the AV processor sound calibration).
Geez whiz, tuning in to The Dark Knight, the introduction scenes accompanied huge bass attack, and my JL Audio Fathom F113s delivered such heavenly deep low frequency response, being crisp with the blue fire scene, then engulfing the whole room during the bird's eye view of the downtown buildings scene. My HT dream finally came true!!! Well, for now
I haven't tested any music since I'm too busy playing/replaying my entire repertoire of Bluray movies, and the next few days will be dedicated to my new set of Alien Anthology BD, therefore the music report will be reserved for next time.

Attaching latest pics again since the links did not work in my last post
I tried putting both subs at two front corners, then one front corner and one opposite back corner, vice versa at two other corners. However, those wouldn't compare to the two inside spots by the front wall.
For my room, it's the best position not only for sound but also for hiding cables using decorative cable covers. Pretty clean setup, eh

You guys are killing me with this dual JL sub chatter. Any sales on them at the moment? You guys got me wanting a pair.

I did not get my pair on sale. Instead, I contacted a local retailer and got a volume discount as a result of buying eight of them at one time for myself and other co-workers that I was able to get to commit to purchase.

The first retailer, where we demoed them, was stubborn (I honestly believe they thought we were wasting their time), so we found another retailer/home theater custom installer that was very willing to go out of their way to close the deal.

I'm not sure if I am allowed to quote pricing on the forum, therefore, I'll refrain from doing so.

I unknowingly destroyed a couple of my wife's Lladro Figurines while watching a movie a tad bit louder than I should have been. They vibrated off of the mantelpiece.

Needless to say, I had to replace them.

Though 2 would be amazing, I'm thankful my wife even let me get 1 of the f112's... her hopes are that it would be the "be all end all" of upgrades for a while.. and quite frankly I think she's right. It's awesome to see all the people on here with the JLs.

Just spent over $8000 on speakers and other crap so if I can't find a steal on one or two then it'll have to wait. Definitely on my short list of upgrades to come.

I saw (on another forum) sub stands for JL Audio subs.

How much of a difference in sound can be realized with stands?

Has anyone tried different hookup methods with these subs? I currently just have a single ended monster sub cable running into my f112s LFE plug. Does anyone think I'd notice an improvement by getting a single to double ended cable?
