Re: TCL Tv's
OLED does a similar pixel shifting thing as plasma to help prevent screen burn in over a long period of time. When I had a Pioneer plasma set I did notice it would retain an image once in a while but simply using the set for normal full screen viewing would sort of quickly wash the retained image away.

Re: TCL Tv's
My plasma has been in use 16 hours a day since 2011 and is still going strong.
I’ve been looking for another one for my garage mancave because they just hold up great.
Even also bought a bunch of insignia LED TVs over the years (for areas where good picture quality matters less than cost) and been very happy with them.
The LG C4 is on my short list and there are also Hisense and TCL TVs in the 98” range as well lol

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
Leave the movies and two channel to your daughter and the HT setup and music to your son... Grab a Corona in heaven and sit back and watch them sort it out!

Re: 20 Legendary Vintage Speakers That Put Modern Gear to Shame, According to Audiophiles
I own a few on the list still today. I've owned a few others but sold them. I've had the chance to buy many others second hand, but was too poor and or thought they weren't worth the price. I've also owned models that were cheaper than some listed in the list, like the Ohm speaker. I had the Ohm Walsh 2s.
I've been so blessed to have had and have what I do. All on a thin wallet, too.
I also owned Polk Monitor 7s w/peerless. I should've never sold them!

^^
Yep, I will be selling most of my stuff before it gets to that.
My kids (2) are already deciding who gets the HT gear and who gets the 2ch system when I go. Same with the physical media - my son wants all the music and my daughter wants the movies…

Re: $6 Nakamichi tape deck
I had a 480 for many years. Had it fixed once. Great sound for cassette. Have an Akai now. Doesn't get much play this days.

Re: Merry Early Christmas to Me
KT 150's have a bit of an love/hate reputation from my understanding. I watched a Kevin Deal video, well for as long as I could. LoL

I bought these KT170 tubes from viva tubes, much better than the KT150's I bought from upscale audio. I thought I had a scratchy volume pot, but it was the tubes I bought from upscale audio.
