So I got a call yesterday. The warranty concerns I had have been resolved in my favor, so I went and picked up a very special C2800 that has never been out of the box. This one is brand new! Another thread will follow after I gave had a chance to absorb it all.

Keeping it simple.
As much as I push to achieve my personal level of excellence in my 2ch system and my HT setup, there are moments that just remind you that it’s about good music and just relaxing
We had a busy summer as a family, as a result we haven’t been to our cabin too much.
I drove up today to finish up a “bathroom” project that was started last summer. I spent the day hauling wood and supplies to the cabin and then lots of time with the weed whacker to get things under control.
After another hour or so of work I cleaned up for the day and got the charcoal grill going for dinner.
Cooked up a steak for dinner and enjoyed that:
After the steak I tossed some marrow bones I grabbed from the butcher on the grill to cook/smoke them for the dog:
As those cooked, I tossed the tiny “Logitech” BT speaker in a window and sat on my rocker on the porch and poured a whiskey and lit up a cigar while I enjoyed some tunes.
I must say, this is one of the best listening sessions I’ve had in a long time.
Doesn’t matter than a crappy little speaker (speaker came in the cabin when I purchased the cabin 😆) is playing music off my phone. Doesn’t matter that it’s in a window behind me…
This just feels like this is what it’s all about.
Don’t get me wrong, when I retire here some day, the system will follow me here in my bigger and permanent cabin.
But this is a nice disconnect and ability to reset the brain.
Hope you guys enjoy the weekend and maybe even enjoy some Lo-Fi tunes along with me.
