Hi all,
This is the Polk Social Media team, and we’re excited to spend more time here with you. We’ll be sharing some of the fun projects and content we’re creating across our social channels, and engaging directly with our top fans in this forum. We’ll ask questions, get your thoughts on the brand, and hear what excites you about where we’re headed. Our involvement in this forum won’t disrupt the regular conversations about Polk — we’ll leave those entirely in your hands.

Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
Hey man, don't knock it 'till ya' try it. We have a joint around here that sells, of all things, a pickle pizza. Lawd, you would think this town regards it as the next best thing to sliced bread!
This is NOT a joke either.

Re: SDA vs Monitor Series - Are they better? How much better
FWIW I've had most of the vintage monitor series in and out my doors over the years and still own a couple of pairs today.
Ive also had some SDA2 and CRS+ as well. The CRS where my favorite of the two. Suited my room better.
My answer is yes and no.
IME if you have the right environment to set up the SDA as designed then that can be quite spectacular.
But if not then YMMV.
I also found the SDA could be very dependent on the recording to sound their best. Some songs just don't sound as good as others and i sometimes found myself feeling disappointed with how they sounded with some stuff. But the next song could blow my socks off.
The monitor series is not as dependent IME. More forgiving and has a sharper focus / center image while the SDA is a more open / spacious sound.
The SDA require some decent amplification to get the best out of them where as the Monitor Series are easier to drive but will also scale well with a good front end driving them. Anyway that's my experience.
In short if you have the itch to try the SDA's and some come up in good condition give them a go.
You can always re sell. Depending on your room size would influence what model would be best but the SDA2 are a good each way bet to see what you think.

Maybe the ground beneath is eroded, causing concrete to settle against the blade.
That blade is from a walk behind road saw and I've buried those blades to the arbor many times over the years. Same with a back breaking demo saw. Never once got one stuck to the point of removing the saw.
My best guess is it's a set up pic as that blade isn't stuck.
