Hello from the Polk Social Team

Hi all,

This is the Polk Social Media team, and we’re excited to spend more time here with you. We’ll be sharing some of the fun projects and content we’re creating across our social channels, and engaging directly with our top fans in this forum. We’ll ask questions, get your thoughts on the brand, and hear what excites you about where we’re headed. Our involvement in this forum won’t disrupt the regular conversations about Polk — we’ll leave those entirely in your hands.

Talk soon,

Polk Social

Okay, let's just cut to the chase and please allow me to point out the elephant in the room that no one is willing to talk about.

There are those that suspect that this is an AI post and that may explain the reaction this thread has rec'd. Polk's involvement in the past was outfreakin'standing...but in recent years? Eh, not so much.

The old timers have seen faces come and go. Moderators come and go. People come and go. Now we have AI bots that make us old timers very skeptical of certain posts. Are you actually a legit team and not AI, and/or is this yet another thing that will come and go within a short period of time?

Let's just start there, then we will see how it all turns out, shall we?

It's not AI. That's an actual Polk engineer in the video and that's actually Polk's buttbook page.

Just because the posts link to the correct social media sites doesn't mean it is definitively not AI. Many companies use AI bots to fill forums and social media sites with approved information. We will see if there is anything that comes from this account other than promos for their other platforms. I'm with Tom, until proven otherwise.

I'd "like" this post, but I don't want to suggest that I'm... like... in the club or something...

PS - the Polkbot doesn't seem to know how to respond... or maybe it's just a circumspect bot?

Hi Tom, we hear you on not trusting that this is a real post from a real person/team. We know we haven't been here in a while and we're hoping to fix that. We understand that it will take time to earn back the trust.

Sounds like something a bot would say.

The Monitor 7 retro will be a waterproof bluetooth speaker about the size of an alarm clock with a hook so you can hang it from the chain around your neck. It will change the way the world listens to music.

Wharfie... I mean Wharfedale did it! And they didn't even spring for a real passive radiator, nor contract with ContactPaper for some bespoke vinyl covering (or wrap, as they say nowadays)!
