Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...

I'm getting things done on these gorgeous days.
Today, Sat. will be 65*! Crazy rollercoaster of temps.

A lot of Termite damage on that backside corner where the tub was. It even exceeds the 2' height by another 2 or 4'! .
No activity now, but will probably have to unscrew the siding next year and look at replacing the bottom band boards. I'll cut out the termite-damaged siding above the new corner board I just put on just to seal that wall on the bottom.
I might shovel some dirt away from the left side tomorrow. I've shoveled about 4 full wheelbarrows already. 3 dirt and one full of leaves and roots. The left side will be a PITA to shovel dirt out! But I'll get the blood flowing. Then I might jack that left side up in a couple of weeks and fix just those sideband boards.

Re: SMSL PL100.
SMSL makes great DACs and small form factor amps. Not sure I'd want to buy a CD player from them, especially not a slot loader. At this point, rip the music to a drive and stream to a desktop DAC/Amp setup.
(Slot loaders are notorious for scratching discs when they malfunction)
Note: this is in the Going Digital section, which is typically about creating a digital library, not physical media.

Re: Looking for help identifying and dating fathers Polk Audio 10s
$200 is about average price for those. If you're interested in adopting them and fixing them up, they are worth it. It would be a fun and rewarding project especially being your dads old speakers. He might even get a kick out of it too.
They are probably 1978-1979 with the tag/stub. The tweeter was definitely replaced.
Are both tweeters the same?
If you open them the woofers and the crossovers should both have exact dates written on them.
