Re: Just received new RTi10's - First Impressions
A little late here but based on my years of use with RTi10s and a good amp in my opinion the brightness will never go away. For HT they are great speakers and I have no complaints. For music at low volume they are good but a high volume they are way too bright for me. I am using the B&K in my sig. so they are not wanting for high current power. It is just the way they are and you either learn to live with it or move on. Someday when I have money my plan is to move up to the LSiM 705 because in general I prefer a ring tweeter to a soft dome for music.

Re: You’re doing it wrong…
Let's make the doors on fridge coolers look like an iPhone.
This is amazing. Walgreens signed a 10 year contract with a startup to install 45k fridge door advertising screens, and now in a $200m contract dispute because they were so buggy - and so the screen company blanked out the screens in over 100 stores without telling Walgreens they were doing it. The doors are now in a warehouse in El Paso Texas.
Walgreens replaced its refrigerator doors with digitized ad-laden glass. It might become a $200 million debacle

Re: $15 Monitor 7Cs
You could still see in back where I reconstructed the corners and it looked ugly. It occurred to me when I started on the fronts that I could cover it in back with veneer as well. It accomplished covering the ugly spots and unexpectedly turned out sort of fancy 😂

can you imagine the mildew growin' on that during the warm, damp summer months, e.g., in the US Southeast?

Re: Kid Rock's female drummer
Very interesting, almost as much about him as her. I never cared for Kid Rock much until recently. I think it was @pitdogg2 who expressed an affinity for him on here a while back, which encouraged me to take a more serious listen.

I just read AWESOME to myself (in my head) via the Cookie Monster's voice.
Is this countdown like the Doomsday Clock?

Re: $15 Monitor 7Cs
Ordered it !
Working with veneer really has made me appreciate wood a lot more. Just one cost of the gel and the wood now has a bit of depth and gleam.
I am going to do one more coat of the dark gel and call it quits till next weekend when I have the clear.
BTW - one of the things I learned. Having the right tools helps a lot. My go to tool was the scraper without it I’m sure this would have much more difficult. I tried using the j roller but not as good as the scraper.
