This is an original poster from 1967 advertising a clothing store in SF, The Velvet Underground. It was a subject in the song Gypsy written by
Stevie Nicks.

The female subject is Lesley Kamstra in one of her creations. She was the designer of the velvet clothing line.

can you imagine the mildew growin' on that during the warm, damp summer months, e.g., in the US Southeast? -

I did wonder about this, because the vibe doesn't fit the real Velvet Underground at all.
Far more East Coast -- and scary, too.

We already went through this. It's tube art done by a friend of Ken's. He posted about the artist with a link to info about him.

My neighborhood is located on the rim of a limestone rock quarry. It’s a huge quarry and all of it is retired except for a small portion
which is still active. The City of Columbus purchased some of the retired portion behind my neighborhood and inactive since 1973 about 7 years ago and turned it into a metro park.
This is Milligan Falls located in the park. The person in the picture was also taking pictures.

Cool photo. You seem to be on the "positively safe" vantage. As would I.I disabled signatures.
