I just read AWESOME to myself (in my head) via the Cookie Monster's voice.
Is this countdown like the Doomsday Clock?

Re: $15 Monitor 7Cs
Ordered it !
Working with veneer really has made me appreciate wood a lot more. Just one cost of the gel and the wood now has a bit of depth and gleam.
I am going to do one more coat of the dark gel and call it quits till next weekend when I have the clear.
BTW - one of the things I learned. Having the right tools helps a lot. My go to tool was the scraper without it I’m sure this would have much more difficult. I tried using the j roller but not as good as the scraper.

Re: Kid Rock's female drummer
I saw Kid Rock in Mount Clemens at a tiny club before anyone outside of Michigan had ever heard of him. We actually stopped there after the Green Day show (Dookie Tour) in Detroit. I think it was Winter 1995. We were arm distance from the stage. Needless to say, me and my friend became instant fans. I have most of his early albums, but I didn't care for his shift to a country sound so I quit following him.
I love his early stuff (before DWAC) Early morning Stoned Pimp, Polyfuze Method. I have a lot of rare stuff of his, vinyl, CD’s, bootleg videos. His concerts are always a good time..

This is an original poster from 1967 advertising a clothing store in SF, The Velvet Underground. It was a subject in the song Gypsy written by
Stevie Nicks.

The female subject is Lesley Kamstra in one of her creations. She was the designer of the velvet clothing line.

Kid Rock's female drummer
We noticed the female drummer just an hour ago and this story is worth reading.

Re: You know you’re getting old when…
After watching American Primeval it appears that the Mormons were no saints either...😬
Yeah, definitely not. The book/TV show "Under the Banner of Heaven" sheds some light on some unsavoury history as well.

Re: Is it just me, or…
It started during covid I think when this tipping thing went wild. And as someone said it was a way to reward the service workers during that time. Later I felt like I was being guilt-tripped into tipping these workers because generally their pay is crap and, OK, I have a little extra dough. But now I've come to think of it as I'm being suckered into subsidizing a business that won't (or can't) pay their employees what they should. I no longer feel good about chipping in an extra 20%. And if that's what it takes for a business or employee to get by then, yes, I'm being suckered because I'm also subsidizing the people who do not tip. Paying 20% more for the same food/service.
On a different note, I was in a coffee shop in New Orleans. The card device asks for a tip. So I ask the guy, "Do you get the tips from this machine?". The guy tells me, "thanks for asking" and then tells me that the owner takes a cut! So I zeroed out the tip and handed the dude some cash.

Re: $15 Monitor 7Cs
Use soft cotton rags to apply and wipe off. Do not use steel wool to apply it and paper towels leave fuzz/fibers.
