In fact, the rated 120 watts per channel was sufficient enough to drive the Reference 3 System speakers to a steady 97dB SPL at the listening position without any audible distortion."
Yes the 3805 got very good reviews. It is one of the few that passed the full range tests that only dropped from 120wpc to 90wpc all channels driven. It also didn't clip with 2ch until after almost 170 wpc IIRC.
Either way the LSi15 starts at 4ohm and drops lower, that may be where the trouble starts. Driving 4ohm or lower loads x 5 or more it will run out of gas. I do know mine would get very hot when driving my SDA 2a speakers no where near 97db. The SDA 2a starts at 4 ohm and drops to almost 3 ohm during its operating range.

That dude is OBVIOUSLY not from Texas....everybody knows, duct tape works way better than electrical tape for this application!!

Imagine showing up on your first date in this!
A long, long time ago, I drove my '74 Bronco to my (then) girlfriend's apartment - I think it was around Thankgiving-time - to meet her parents. All dressed up, down to a new pair of real shoes. As it turned out, the truck's master cylinder was leaking, and at one point when I stepped on the brake, pressurized brake fluid shot back onto one of my new shoes, completely eradicating the shine and the finish where it sprayed.
Get to her apt and start blathering about my shoes when introduced to the folks.
Well, on the bright side, we've been married 40 years as of this past spring.
Mrs. H never did like the Bronco.
Truth be told, it didn't like her either. It did interesting things to her more than once when she was driving it.
I mean, hey, why not? It's worth a shot, right?
Then tell her it's a rental! ;-)

Re: Integrated Amp for LSi15
If you run the LSI 15's in small and use the Subwoofer, you're fine especially in a small room.
