Re: Hot wings
I like wings. Here are some smoked or direct fire over wood
I mix up some Sweet Baby Rays chiplote BBQ sauce add Sriracha to taste to bring on the heat
Use as a dipping sauce, or toss the wings and sauce in a big stainless bowl then serve

SDA SRS
Hello everyone, back on the CP forum. It's been a while since I have been on the forum, life tends to get in the way of things some times. But like any good Polkie, always scanning the Fleabay and CL for any deals on Vintage Polk. I have seen ads for some SDA 1's and 2's as well as Monitor series. Haven't seen anything worth making an offer until recently.
Happened to see a post on CL for a pair of SDA SRS, which had recently dropped in price. They had been up for a month and thought this might be my opportunity to own these legendary speakers. I do have a pair of SDA 1C as well as SDA CRS+, Monitor 10 and RTA 15TL. But I have always dreamed of getting my hands on the SRS.
So I decided to give it a shot, jumped in my trusty SUV and made the drive.
Upon arriving I found a very nondescript Vintage Vinyl store. I walked in and asked if this was the right place. The gentleman said yep and we proceeded to walk out of the store to an adjoining space which housed a multitude of vintage electronics, McIntosh, Sansui, Marantz, Carver, Nakamichi to name a few. And there in the middle stood the beasts that I came for. I was hoping for the 1.2TL but upon close inspection realized that these were the SRS non TL version. They were in relatively good shape with some wear on the cloth grills, a crack in the wood of the speaker base on one and rings on the top of one where someone had used it as a drink coaster. I sampled them and all the drivers and tweeters functioned well with the included interconnect cable.
So, they were asking $1200 to which I offered $1100, which he grudgingly accepted. As we were loading the speakers in my SUV, he mentioned that he had a box of spare tweeters that he would throw in. Of course, who doesn't want a few free spare parts, and I took the box and looked in and saw a few small boxes. I opened one up and saw a SL-2000 and thought nothing of it. Packed up my things and got on the road. When I got home opened the box of speakers up and saw that there was a total of 12 small boxes in there, of which some looked new and unopened with the numbers 194 on the side. So low and behold I grabbed one and opened it up and there before me was a brand new RDO-194, in fact a total of 8 brand new ones along with 4 used mint SL -2000.
So after a 6 hour round trip drive, $100 in gas and $1100 cash , I come away with my very own SDA SRS and some upgrades.
Not a bad day I think.
