Re: Post a picture.....any picture...part deux...
On this day...3/14/25, my wife and I were able to watch the changing of the moon from bright white to dull red.
Even after working VERY HARD all week or more, we really wanted to photograph this. Her camera didn't do squat. Mine did alright after I put my elbow on my truck window pillar to steady the camera.

Re: Can I use a dual Mono amp ( Proton d1200) with Polk SDA speakers?
No headroom? 🤣😂🤣.....right.
A 5kVA transformer, 272,000µF of filter capacitance. Stable to 1 ohm and 300Wpc into 8 ohms, 2400Wpc into 1 ohm. Still no headroom, with Gain: 25.5dB....still no headroom
Duuuude it seems your idea of headroom is skewed. 😁

Re: Then and now (kind of) more motorcycle stuff
It's a catch 22 selling sport bikes...a guy should have the right to go buy one, but is it right to sell to the inexperienced?
The liter bikes will easily go 185+, right off the showroom floor. @F1nut Jessy's story is of no Suprise, it happens often, the bike becomes a deadly projectile at triple digit speeds.
A close friend of mines son was the same age as mine. I coached them in basketball and baseball from the 3rd grade up until they were in middle school. When the friend's boy came to me at age 18, he was very excited and told me about a new bike purchase he was about to make. I congratulated him and told him, "Look, you be sure to come see me right before you get it and we'll go over a few things". He said, absolutely coach!!
Well, he never did come see me, got the bike, went straight to the waterfront in Tacoma, opened it up, T boned another vehicle and didn't survive.
Since then, I've made it a point to approach every sportbike rider I see on the street, as opportunity allows, befriend them with pictures of my racing which instantly wins them over, then we discuss safety practices on the street. All I can do is plant seeds. Recommending organized track days is always a vehicle (no pun intended).
I would love to see dealerships offer mandatory clinics with every sportbike purchase.

Re: Speaker Gaskets - The best to use in 2025
^ Was in the same way of thinking after acquiring my sda srs speakers, thought the gaskets should be replaced or upgraded.
f1, in his subtle way, convinced me to stay with the thin originals.
They seal up great, stay with them if not damaged.

Re: Then and now (kind of) more motorcycle stuff
A real good friend of mine, which has now retired from running his dealership, told me once that "rockets" were made for the track, period. I never liked them, the guess that's why I bought another 650 VStrom, a '23 this time. I like to travel on a bike and this fits the bill nicely...
