Re: Interesting video about SACDs, SACD players and receivers' connectivity issues.
SACD came out in 1999. 26 years later and along comes that dimwit.

Re: Legend L800's - Need Advice & Opinions
Having spent some time with the L800, it is a very very good speaker. As long as you are willing to put in the effort I think you would be happy. They can be said of any loudspeaker
As far as why the L800 didn't preform sales wise.. I think we can all agree that the L800 speaker is the speaker everyone asked for but didn't ask for.
If Polk had released a souped up throw back of the crs and 2b... I truly think that would have been super successful.
Just my opinion

Don't you just love clueless YouTuber folks. Coming late to the party without a clue, not nowing anything about DSD compatibility or the chips that decode.

Re: Which banana plug are suitable for polk speaker E15
Please, tell us how adding another connection at each end of the wire will help. Have you ever even bothered to measure the resistance created when you add your beloved banana plugs? The difference is typically negligible, but is measurable with even a basic quality dvom like a fluke 87. It's not flawed logic, it's fact
But hey what do I know about an ac circuit? Only been an active maintenance technician troubleshooting shorts, and so much more for over 20 years now
It's fine to state you feel my logic is flawed, but when you back it up with nothing (probably to justify the snake oil interconnect you paid %20 of total system cost on) where is your fact based scientific research and data to prove it sir? It doesn't exist, plenty of data showing how connections, particularly poor connections, can and do cause electric signal degradation. Audio output is nothing more than a bunch of ac voltage at various hz. Anytime you put a break in the line and add a connection the signal is degraded. Period.
Your assertions are incorrect. There are several disadvantages to bare wire connections at speakers and amplifiers, including oxidation (banana terminations are typically gold/rhodium plated), strand breakage, shorting, etc. I too use a Fluke 87V for quick measurements, but I more often use an HP3478A, as it’s much more accurate for electronics work - and I can assure you that there is no added resistance or signal loss with bananas. If you are measuring added resistance, then either your measurement method is flawed, or you are using extremely poor quality banana plugs.
Also, there is a significant difference between an electronics technician and a maintenance technician. Audio circuits are far more complex than electrical supply circuits, and your expertise in the later is no guarantee of proficiency in the former. If fact, your assertions would suggest that you have little experience with audio circuits. If you prefer bare wire connections, great. But saying bare wire is superior is simply incorrect. Period.

Re: Van Halen Fair Warning SACD, One Step.
Dweezil doesn't get the guitar credit he deserves. The man rocks and is a mountain of information.
I thought this was pretty good musically, I'm torn on the singer.
