Re: Recommend a good Universal Remote
I need a universal remote to go with a LG tv and a Onkyo Home theater receiver.
I been looking at the Logitech Harmony One, that uses a rechargeable battery.
I also, saw a highly rated "SofaBaton" model, but may be out of my budget.
Can anyone recommend some options and other remotes, less than $100?
I did tried the SofaBaton and returbed a few days later. I did not like it.
Cheers

Re: Awesome Find Vintage Polk
I have 2 Polk audio model 10 speakers l purchased in 1979 ser# 62827 and 62837 sound great and in good condition. Would anyone have an idea of their value
I've come to the conclusion that a lot of vintage gear is worth more to "us" than to "them". That said, I guess the trick (with anything vintage) is finding someone who values it as much as "we" do. I have owned (some) my Polks for over 40 years...and I know in my case (at least for the Monitor 4's), I'm going to make sure that one of my kids get them when I'm gone.

Re: You’re doing it wrong…
Personal experience tells me it's essential to have a fresh bubble for the poyuit valve adjustment in the rear framastat assembly of the Cyclops windchimer.
I tried it once with an original bubble; never ever again.

I bet Van Gogh didn't think once that his chair needed to be covered in Swarovkis crystals.

Nice to know those are available -- but I hate those assortments. They have three or four of the size(s) you need, and the rest just sit in the basement because you have no use for them, but can't bring yourself to throw them away!

Re: SDA 1A What to do now?
They cost you nothing, keep them and enjoy them. Remember do not toe (angle) them in. 4"- 6" off the back wall and a common ground amplifier only. They will kill most receivers because of their 4 ohm rating that drops into the 3 ohm area. I started with the SDA 1a to wet my appetite and moved up to the 2.3tl and have been extremely happy.

And that's why we have to use signs like "caution, contents are hot", and especially now, "please do not sit in chair". People are too stupid to have common sense.
Equally dumb is leaving it out in the open and unprotected to tempt the idiot that couldn’t resist sitting in it.
From my understanding they waited for the security guard to step out of the room.
I heard that, too, but still. They had to know someone might try something like that these days.
