I agree 8' is a little wide. Plus I'm in the camp that likes absolutely nothing between them. For me, all that stuff in the middle always smeared the soundstage.
My 2.3tl's are 6.5' center to center and 4" off the back wall. They just disappear in the room where it's like the entire back wall is the speaker.

I dunno....she ruffles feathers when she tells a crowd of screaming young women to "fook the Patriarchy", AKA....all those old men who hang onto power and influence....aka Trump. So if she wants to send our zingers, she should expect some in return.

Above and beyond on the review(s), Jody! Very interesting and informative. The Geshelli J2 DAC enlightened me to what a separate DAC was capable of and I realized it would take a substantial investment to outperform it. Sounds like that summarizes your experience, as well.

Remove the CRS entirely. Having speakers next to and inside of other speakers is a big no.
Place the 1C about 6 feet apart.

I'm 67 and for many years now, it seems the award shows, super bowl halftime, and many other events have to have people/dancers humping the air as hard as they can. 
The satanic imagery in many award shows' choreography and even last year's Olympics have seemed to be accepted by some demographics as ok and applaudable.
I don't like either at all.
My wife and I only understood a word or two of Lamar's song and his dancers only humped the air a little, at least his show had an American flag symbolized. A symbol that now triggers half of America.
We just muted the volume for most of his performance. I didn't hate it. I adjusted.
