You fellas might have noticed the forum background updated.... this is a little sneak peak of an announcement we will be making next Friday. Might be some tech you guys are interested in. Hopefully the PR team doesn't kill me for giving you guys an early look :-)

I actually just got back from the factory yesterday, looking at components coming off the line, and demo'd the first units to the Pro Source Group in the afternoon. Super excited for this new line.

Here are a couple of shots of some of the components on the line.e31qol4fdj6d.jpg

Any info on the drivers? They look metal... Surely that's not the case?

Injection polypro with mica in the compound and a brushed metallic finish. The surrounds you will notice are also specially molded to increase performance.

No SDA on this line, though that technology has been the topic of many internal conversations of late.

Intriguing...the power port design on the right side of the screen looks especially interesting. The grain on top...could it be the RTiA replacement I've heard folks speculating about?

Couple things I noticed. Back to Polk Audio....fantastic! American HiFi......nice! Those are really large magnets and it appears the surrounds have a lot of roll, which means a lot of excursion. B)

Interesting. But those are fairly "small" drivers so is it safe to say that it will be nothing BIG? Not like a remake of the Rti.A series which is in dire need of an upgrade! Now that WOULD be big. If this is going to be yet another small form, wireless music option for hipsters, not interested.

I can't tell much about the tweeters? Are they a Trump Ad.? lol

But seriously, except for the surface, it is hard to tell much about these tweeters. The good, they seem a bit smoother, shinier than M and Rti-A series. Many treated domes with glossy surfaces sound better than most of Polks standard coated silk domes. But hearing is, the most important thing.

Well, I'm off again. Can't get enough of RNC/DNC amusements, but I really need to "write" more. And the great educator has not yet posted in this thread so I haven't learned anything and I so love being educated?

American HiFi. Thumbs up for whomever pushed that idea. B) Those drivers... those surrounds... just *look* like they'll be putting out some serious bass for their size.

Didn't we just get a refresh of the Monitors with the "T" series? Also, another entry level speaker with the TSx series?

Hopefully, this isn't just another entry-level bargain speaker iteration, as that's all we've gotten since the LSiM's.

I understand that is the direction of the company, along with all the pedestrian Bluetooth stuff, but it would be nice to get something of substance to get excited about again.

A word of caution: if you view the forum background pic while sitting in your lawn chair on the back patio with the sun kind of washing out the laptop screen, the Power Port on the right looks an awful lot like a horn !
I thought I'd save some folks from almost having a stroke. You're welcome. :*

Hoping the best, Polk, keep plugging and chugging.

Oh, Listen here mister. We got no way of understandin' this world. But we got as much sense of this bird flyin in the sky. Well the tweeters alone tell you that it isn't an update for the LSIMs, which really aren't old enough yet to need a refresh.
