I’ll look for it here in Oregon. Prices are rather high combined with sometimes limited selection.

Cabin is 100% in bear country. There is a mama bear that frequently visits my land, with her two older cubs. I have zero desire to interfere with her, or the cubs. But if it comes down to it, I’m not getting into a fist fight with mama. I’m pretty certain a warning shot, with some chasing follow ups will be enough to haze her off.Deleted User wrote: »@Upstatemax, is that an Omega Seamaster?
It is!
My wife hunted down my dream watch for this past Fathers Day. She knew I had been looking at some version of the Aqua Terra for about 20 years now. After years of primarily wearing smart watches, she knew I wanted to go back to wearing real watches. So she hunted it down and it was what we will call an “open secret” that we were watch shopping for Father’s Day, it was the only way she was going to get me to agree to go to NYC.
I typically take it off and put on an older watch when I start knocking around and doing stuff at the cabin.
I’ll put on an older Wenger automatic that has been an absolute work horse, I’ve had it for at least 17 years. It needs to go in for servicing. It’s not keeping perfect time, it will usually lose 5-10 minutes in 24 hours, usually while sleeping and not moving. I need to find a good place to send it off to.

Yeah, if a bear came up to me while eating a steak dinner, I'd gladly hand it over

Cioppino with my mate and perhaps our favorite seafood dish
In the afternoon on Saturday, the herbed tomato broth simmered for about two hours in the afternoon. It was made with sautéed aromatics fennel, onions, garlic, whole tomatoes, red pepper flakes, bottled clam juice and herbs. The fennel provided a wonderful licorice aroma as it simmered.
In the early evening, our version of Cioppino for this day we had chosen wild gulf shrimp, Prince Edward Island (PEI): mussels from Canada, Cod from Iceland, and large Atlantic sea scallops to replace the usual crab legs in Cioppino. (I am allergic to certain crab and must be very careful.)After our meal, we had our espresso accompanied by scrumptious remnants that remained in the bottles from previous encounters.

With big hunk of San Francisco Sourdough Bread.

The last time we "made" Cioppino was 3-4 years ago. Notice the "made". The bag of mussels purchased at Whole Foods contained one or several not so savory mussels. We abandoned the effort and the odor was so intense that the years passed by before deciding to have Cioppino again until Saturday night last.

Looks amazing!
Cioppino is a favorite of mine. Almost a guaranteed "yes please" when I see it on the menu, at a good restaurant.
Not really feasible to cook it at home, as half my household doesn't like seafood. -
