Something bad happened. Can’t believe they would put it in the case like that. One of them was obviously leaking, even.

A bystander captured the moment a pickup truck briefly went airborne in North Texas, using a buckled road as a ramp.
It was another sizzling summer day in late July, with temperatures nearing 100 degrees, when one of the main roads cutting through Greenville, Texas, finally just gave up.
The stretch of U.S. Highway 69 kept expanding in the extreme heat until it exploded, creating a sharp, two-foot-tall ramp where it broke at the pavement joint. Most of the traffic in this Dallas exurb drove around it.

But then a black pickup hit the ramp going about 30 mph, sending the truck airborne, “Dukes of Hazzard”-style, flying several feet in the air and slamming down on its front tires.
“Oh, my god!” an onlooker said, as the scene was being recorded. “That’s crazy!”"Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Harry / Marietta GA

In a bizarre corollary to the above, Mrs. H and I, inexplicably and unexpectedly, happened upon on of those Robotaxi things last Saturday... puttering along in the right-center lane of I-95 northbound in the vicinity of Salisbury, MA.
At first I thought it was an oddly 'customized' Model Y, with an unusual gold finish and covered-up rear window. It had Texas plates. It was also pretty small and only had two doors, so I realized it must be a Robotaxi.
We saw it again a few minutes later, pulled over on shoulder just a little bit north of the NH border.
My guess was it was very confused.
I did not notice if it had any humans in it, I am chagrined to admit.
I wonder if it started out in Boston and just got deeply, profoundly, and hopelessly lost.
I would guess that, for autonomous vehicles, the Boston Test would be roughly equivalent to the Jet Engine Test envisioned by Gary Larson for seeing-eye dogs.

I see Waymo self driving cars just about every time I drive into Atlanta. They are everywhere. There have been a few reports of misbehavior, but nothing major. One drove into a flooded street and was stranded, but it wasn't carrying a passenger. Another neighborhood reported that the a high number of empty cars circle a cul-de-sac in the morning.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here.

This sounds like it might be a good premise for a psychological thriller. -

Cats and small-ish children are both viable candidates for the mullet configuration.

Jasper left the TP rolls alone but would pull off and chew on the rubber caps found on the wound spring door stops. Had to remove them from every room until he passed away.
