When everything that you use to be able to do in a few hours without breaking a sweat now requires a few days to do it, and at least a week to recover from having done it.

You have major left knee surgery scheduled on July 1st and your right knee "pops" while unloading your truck bed in the driveway 4 days before.

Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

Yup. A lot has changed since then too. I remember a huge fireworks display over an open field, while the family was sitting on the hood of my Dad's Oldsmobile. That field is now all concrete and steel, with hundreds of stores. If you sat on the hood of a new car, the hood would be dented. The spirit and pride in America has also changed drastically, something I never imagined would happen as a young lad.

You know you ARE getting old when . . .

You start looking back at things you wished you had kept from your younger years because you liked them so much.

In the 1970's, I had a British tweed sport coat with a belt in the back. I see some of these coats on the shows I watch from time-to-time on BritBox. (I had a similar styled summer suit, too)

So, I Googled for info about the style and by magic, a listing of a vintage coat appeared on eBay. The coat is my size at 43 Long. I am struggling "NOT" to purchase.

NOTE: My COVID episode in March of this year is the reason my body returned to almost the size I was in the 1970's.
