I need better health. The medical system stinks.
They don't share info very well and everyone wants
to do their own lab work. After the last 6 months it's
a wonder I still have any blood at all.

So who here is getting invited to free dinners where they discuss
funerals and cremations? Add to it the adult living communities.
I think I'd rather eat burger king than listen to any of this depressing
    garbage.

49 years ago, Ted Turner's WTCG Channel 17 in Atlanta became the first
TV 'Super Station" by sending its satellite to four U.S.cable systems in Nebraska, Virginia,
Alabama, and Kansas. It was just the second cable television channel, after HBO, to use a
satellite to deliver programming. By 1978, the channel was available to viewers in all 50 states.

When you recall writing a computer program on punch cards that would then be run on a computer so large it was housed in a room the size of a small gym and your instructor said one day everyone will be walking around with a computer in their pocket....and thinking I'll never live to be that old!

Punched the data input cards using Fortran. For business classes in college. Waited patiently in another building for the printed out results, to finish my feasibility projects.

In college I had to wait 1 to 12 hours for an operator to run my COBOL 101 job, then go halfway across campus for the printout to see if it ran without error. Wash, rinse, repeat.
(Printouts at night, when I was usually coding, were slipped halfway under the door to the mainframe room(s). Apparently whowhatever was in there could only be let out during the next shift change, if ever. Perhaps a SWAT team was involved. I never witnessed it.)
Expect that there will be bumps in the road. Choose to not let them rattle you.

Wow....I wondered if anybody would know what I was talking about. Machine Language, Cobol and Fortran were what I cut my teeth on. Lugging hundreds of punch cards around in shoe boxes, what a hoot!

I guess I should have said.... you know you are old if you know what I'm talking about :)
