  • Well let me be the first to say that I can't wait! Already have anodizing shop lined up. Absolutely beautiful and really looking forward to the sound improvements!

Probably too late to get in on a pair of these, but if you end up with an extra pair let me know.

    Got you covered.

That's great, Thanks! Let me know how to go about paying you.

Looking forward to a build thread. Gotta showcase the other goodies.

    What color you going with?

  • I believe another member went with a pewter like color? At the risk of being a copy cat going with that. Sometime in April going to post a review of VR3's latest greatest x-over build. I think in a post you referred to it as "epic"? In my mind doesn't begin to describe. It is that good!

That's great news. Hopefully you've discovered DynaMat and can point it out to other 1.2 owners.

Is the company that did that for you in the DMV area?

    Yes, https://easternplatingcompany.com/

I used a method/jig invented by another forum member to make the face surface baby butt smooth. I don't think that jig is still available though.

If you leave them as is , they will have a very nice sunburst effect.

Last tidbit detail. I machined the coil lead channels to accommodate any common 1/2" wide electrical tape.(White tape used as reference) Simply snip 1.25" lengths for each side and place over wire lead while slightly overlapping silk dome fabric.....

Got my pair installed in my SDA Studio 2Bs this afternoon (ooh, shiny). Mark Knopler's Shangri-La sounds even clearer with these in place. Aural bliss continues. Thanks @xschop!

They really do make the tweeters sound better. The stiffer bezel really helps tremendously!

Agreed; all great mods. My personal favorites are DK's dreadnaught and the wealth of his knowledge that he so kindly shared.
