Abbott and Costello knew this was going to happen:

some creature was diggin' around the bases of some of our birdfeeder poles last night (and not for the first time this spring).
While I was putting out the feeders this morning, I found evidence for the perp. I'd be tempted to say I caught it red-handed but it's more like brown-handed and I didn't technically catch it.



So: what do all y'all think? Raccoon?
That's my best guess, a priori (and FWIW).
... or maybe an alien.
