    They better put on washers.

I'd make sure the one on the right isn't hiding nyloc on the back end. Wouldn't wanna be trapped with that attitude for the rest of their lives.

Some PB blaster should be used.

It was a beautiful day, so I thought I'd get the garden rolling stool and pad, and prime the barn shed panels. It was great. Had the radio playing at a normal level.

    Some things that NEVER Change!

    qk6gug4ijfki.png

2026 - Yes, the Masters staples of Egg Salad and Pimento Cheese sandwiches remain on the menu at their special price of $1.50.

The most wallet-stretching items on the menu stand at just $3.00. At that price point, you'll find three different sandwiches - the chicken salad, the Masters Club, and the Ham & Cheese on rye.

Under the 'Snacks & Miscellaneous' section, there's one extra item standing at $3.00 - the Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwich.

Atlanta WSB-TV's Officer Don and the Clubhouse Gang 1956 on every Saturday morning

    zi78zyi8b5bn.png

My favorite Saturday morning TV show on black&white TV. I think the picture above shows the Ooey-Gooey thing where Office Don would put all kinds of kitchen stuff in one of three containers. Officer Don then selected a kid to stick his/her hand in a container after several rotations. Two of the containers had good prizes. All the kids were thrilled to yell "Ooey-Gooey" when it was picked.

The Show came to the local theater in Bremen Ga about 1956. I was picked from my seat mid-way back in the theater by Officer Don to be in the "Simon Says" portion of the show on stage with several other kids.

I won the "Symon Says" and the prize was a plastic wind-up whale for the bathtub.

It had a rubber piece that protected the main whale body from the tail.

Found this picture. This was like the whale I won!

Kept that toy for years, and I have always loved whales.

I was thinking about what needed to be primed since I have half a gallon of primer left. Ok, the back of the side porch door is dark. It'll only take a few minutes to do. :)

So I primed it twice in just a few minutes. It brightened the area a lot.

Too true. There aren’t many albums that I used to like that I don’t care if I ever hear again, but that one is close to the top of the list;-)

My wife's birthday is today, but she said she would help put the house wrap up. I felt good, and the wind was very mild, so today was the day.

It went ok for the most part. A few ripples, but not bad for an elderly homeowner and his wife. took about 5 hours or more. Good for another 15 years, or siding will be hung before then. I or we will put the sidewalk boards back in place tomorrow. :p I will tape the joints too. Tyveck tape. B)

A lot of Actors, now and then. Very well done!

I believe Patrick Swayze was showing the woes of his Pacreatic Cancer in the video montage they show here. :'(

If you go to the panhandle Florida and Alabama Gulf beaches from the Atlanta area, Montgomery is definitely on the trip map. Over the years, I have visited quite a few BBQ joints while making the road trip and other road trips west into Alabama.

Here is a joint, Brenda's Bar-B-Q Pit, I just read about in a story titled "I spent a year eating my way through Alabama—here are 13 spots I can't wait to revisit" from Southern Living Magazine.

I have not been to Brenda's Bar-B-Q Pit but the Pig Ear menu items caught my attention.

This Montgomery Alabama barbecue joint has been smoking since 1942

Donetta Bethune started helping her grandmother Jereline Bethune at Brenda's Bar-B-Q Pit when she was a little girl growing up in Montgomery, Ala. She now co-owns the 78-year-old barbecue joint with her father, Larry Bethune Sr.(Photo by Art Meripol, from the book "Alabama Barbecue: Delicious Road Trips")

    P.S. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Just yesterday, I drove to my "hometown" of Bremen Georgia (West 60+ miles on rural roads) for the funeral of my first cousin. That drive takes me through Dallas Georgia. There is a BBQ place that was my Father's favorite BBQ place - Hickory Hut. The Logo picture below shows "since 1965", but for a long time, it was known as The Hickory House, but something happened about owner (James Russom Craton) retiring, selling some of his recipes to another BBQ place in nearby Hiram, GA, and, when he decided to reopen, the name had to be changed to The Hickory Hut to avoid any conflict. I remember William Russom Craton as the owner and always cooking and cutting the pork hams. I think William Russom Craton age 54 possibly died of Covid in 2021.

I had decided on returning to my home in Marietta, I would stop there to have a late lunch. I was so disappointed when I drove up and Hickory Hut was closed for Good Friday and the weekend for Easter.

I have seen many members of the family operating the restaurant over the years. Lots of Old School Values!
