I have the Norma, so maybe one of these days I’ll snag a pair of Volterra’s. They’re my end game speaker.

    Congrats!!!

Yep, the Volterra's are superb ear candy. Willy is getting it done! Congrats.

I want them so bad.. I actually talked to Skip sometime ago about them, just can't let myself do it..

There's a set of volterra on ebay for 6500, seems like a decent enough price? I don't follow that model

I’ve felt the same way for a long time. It’s pretty surreal still. I got an excellent deal on this gear locally from a guy looking to downsize. It feels a bit like winning the lottery to an extent. I was really planning to use these funds on a new turntable, but this deal was worth getting spouse approval to stretch the budget a little!

Pulled my Phase Linear 4000 II preamp and installed the Krell AVS.
Really love the sound of that processor in my 2-channel set-up.

Was hearing some crackling in my right channel and during trying to figure out who the culprit was I rotated in my garage sale Harman Kardon HK870 amp. Ran it for a couple hours to warm up so I could give it a proper review. Not bad for $250 but without appropriate speaker terminals that would accept anything but bare lamp cord I relegated it back to the closet of shame until I figure out a new home.

Next up were my backup B&K M200 Sonata monoblocks. These were very early release and had no XLR inputs but I have a pair of Wireworld Silver Eclipse RCA's I threw on them. One thing I noticed is they are more bright than the newer version Sonata's. I think somewhere I read the early ones had no filtering for DC in the signal path. Maybe that is what makes the difference. For now I'm really digging them playing some Camila Cabello while drinking a margarita!

That's awesome for you but please never say that again! Every single day I try hard to NOT justify going down TT hole, reassuring myself that my CD player is enough with the set-up care I put into it, forcing memories from my youth when I owned and appreciated LPs, to be non-existent. And it works for the most part until I see posts like yours....... :|

We recently got my favorite chair back from being refurbished. Fresh upholstery and had the internal frame rebuilt. Glad to have it back in the primary listening position.

I finally pulled the trigger on a better power conditioner for my system. I ordered a Furman Elite 20 PFi and an Audioquest Blizzard 20A power cord for it. I can't wait to hear the improvements it will make over the old Monster Power HTS 2600 I've been using. This conditioner is only powering the source components. The amplifier and Subwoofer are powered from dedicated 20A outlets.
Enjoying the journey while never attaining the destination.
