Shark bites off tourist’s hands as she tries to take selfie on Caribbean beach
A shark bit the hands off a woman along the shore of a Caribbean beach while she was trying to take a picture with it.
The 55-year-old woman, who is understood to be Canadian, had only strayed a few yards into the water when she was attacked last Friday.
According to the local authorities she “attempted to engage” with the shark when the 6ft-long predatory fish struck off Thompson Cove Beach in the Turks and Caicos Islands."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"

I cannot get enough of watching the short bus folks trying to pet Bison and Elk. It's amazing how high a human can get thrown in the air by Bison! -
Wild animals are called just that for a reason. They are wild. Not domesticated. Big difference.

Is she now eligible for a Darwin Award? I don't think she made a full effort for it, so a participation trophy perhaps? Maybe Captain Hook can be the presenter. The Gear... Wait!! Butter is made from milk ? 🤯
Like the warning labels on peanut butter, may contain peanuts, like WTH else is it made from.... -
So, FYI, that butter recall was voluntary, not forced by the FDA. Think of it as Costco showing their customers they are honest. Its a PR thing.
This article spins it a little differently: https://thedailyeconomy.org/article/the-costco-butter-recall-of-2024-is-not-what-you-think/ -
I know all kinds of good ways to dispose of butter.

After reading your article, I’m confused by your response. Nowhere in my original screenshot did it say that the FDA was involved, nor did it state that it was a “mandatory” recall.
The screenshot I posted is pointing out the absurdity of the fact that our society has regressed to the point that we need warning labels on BUTTER stating that it contains MILK. So no, there isn’t “more than you think” to the recall - It remains simply stunning that someone actually said “…OMG - we forgot to print “contains milk” on the butter boxes!”
Which brings us full circle to “You’re Doing It Wrong”.
But thanks for the unsolicited PSA - you’re doing noble work;-)“Human beings are born with different capacities. If they are free, they are not equal. And if they are equal, they are not free.”
