This is an original poster from 1967 advertising a clothing store in SF, The Velvet Underground. It was a subject in the song Gypsy written by
    Stevie Nicks.

    https://stevienicks.info/2001/05/01/what-is-the-song-gypsy-about/

The female subject is Lesley Kamstra in one of her creations. She was the designer of the velvet clothing line.

I did wonder about this, because the vibe doesn't fit the real Velvet Underground at all. :)

We already went through this. It's tube art done by a friend of Ken's. He posted about the artist with a link to info about him.

Looks like an electrically charged bong......hey, it could happen

@txcoastal1 , that is a found object sculpture made by David Gibney from a vintage movie reel canister that was part of the Historic Maryland Theater in the town where I live. He also used sections of an Ampex 351 tape electronics and some random tube circuitry I gave him.

This is really cool, Ken. I could see myself spending a lot of time checking this thing out.

Looks like there's a light in the base that lights up through the central glass pane?
