I have watched Vanishing Point no less than 100 times. Ask all my grown kids what movie they wish to never view again and it would be VP.

I thought that sounded familiar, and just looked it up on IMDB. Added to watchlist.

I read this Bugatti fact last week.

A Bugatti oil change can cost between $20,000 and $25,000 and can take over 24 hours to complete. The price is due to the exclusivity of the car, the quality of the materials, and the labor involved. The process is complicated because the car has a dry-sump oiling system with up to 16 drain plugs, and many parts need to be removed to access them.

See what it cost to put tires and wheels on that car, yes wheels, they need to be changed after so many miles..

I have many friends that have gotten rid of their Mercedes and BMW's for that very reason. (Cost of just the tires along with unreasonable wear)

I can attest to that. My E55 AMG ate through the rear tires every 12K miles or less. Staggered size, so no rotating. Fronts only lasted 18K typically. I got to know the manger at Discount Tire by 1st name.

Yes. If one can afford the car to begin with one can afford to have the oil changed.

Possessing the necessary skills to drive it might be another story, however …
