I still have one of those, along with the anti-static gun that came as a kit.

Those guns were bringing tall $$$ on eBay.

I just got rid of mine within the last year after I got an ultrasonic RCM! Figured that old fluid couldn't possibly still be good!
Still have my Dishwasher brush from the last century. Still use it without the fluid to pickup errant dust particles and cat hair after using the ultrasonic RCM. Also have a later generation version of it that is shaped differently and doesn't do as good a job.

Because no one made a substitute for many years. It's just been in the last ten years that others made a similar product.

Ah, okay. I was wondering whether you knew of a difference between the original ones, and the "current" Milty Zerostat 3.

Dang it Scott. I thought you were asking a trivia question of sorts and were going to give us the answer…and I assumed it was going to be funny.

I moved on to an Audioquest carbon fiber, anti-static brush around the same time for those situations.

Went to the Dr and was diagnosed with a bad case of bronchitis. He recommended I temporarily switch to menthol cigarettes while being treated with antibiotics. I think the office call was like $10 only had like $6 they took it, that’s how long ago this was.

Yes things were done a bit different back then for sure. Spring of 76 I had an operation done and the doctor's bill came up to $229. His office billed my insurance and the insurance company sent me the check with my name on it. So what's a 21 year old kid supposed to do with a check like that? It just so happened the local record shop was selling Pioneer PL115D's with a Stanton 681EEE cart for the same $229. That tt served me well till the early 90's and was a nice upgrade to the Garrard 440m it had replaced.

The doctor did eventually get paid a few years later. There was no interest tacked on, no collection agency or mention of the check that I had spent. Yes things were very different back then.

I could throw my back out with either sneezing too hard, or just tying my shoes. Thankfully, my wife is younger, with a good back, and is willing to help me move stereo components around...as long as the goal is to move it out of the house.

+1,2,3. I remember when you could smoke in grocery stores. It was nasty. Butts all over the floors. I hate the smell of smoke when I'm eating & was quite happy when they made non smoking rooms in restaurants. I smoked then, the kind of smoke not sold in stores :D .

You know you are old when you used to "watch" NASCAR races on the radio.

BITD, there were only two televised NASCAR races on ABC. IIRC, they were the opening Daytona Race and Talladega. Sometimes, they would only show portions of the race.....so I would race down to my room and continue "watching" the race on the radio. I seem to remember Darlington being televised on occasion as well but it wasn't advertised/promoted like Daytona was (at least in our neck of the woods).
