Adds a nice zing in the treble.
I hope the Tekton folks don't see this -- it may give them ideas.

PS Hmmm... maybe I should do a resto-mod on my 7As?
PPS In fairness, Polk did use those tweeters in one product. ;):#

Pretty sure the banana with duct tape was simply money laundering in public view

    The purloined letter approach.
    Clever -- nay, artistic.

At work we had a fellow named Arnie, an older gentleman, a man of many wisdoms, one of which was:

"In France they call them 'Artistes'.
Over here, we call them ***********".

...He kind of had a point. 🤔

^^^ absolutely disgusting. People hitting a ball get paid that much yet people who save our lives and people who protect our lives and countries don't make enough.

The solution there is for America to quit supporting overpriced sporting events and cancel their overpriced cable subscriptions, which largely go towards ESPN and the Regional Sports Channels. As long as people keep supporting higher and higher sports related pricing, the money will keep getting higher and higher for the players.

Yep. Feel the same way about concert tickets too. Some of the people who complain about ticket prices are the same people who will turn around and spend $200+ on a ticket regularly.

The only concerts I go to are the ones that are offered during Live Nation's $25 concert promotion week which happens once a year, usually in late Spring. This year, I managed to see DJ Shadow and Thievery Corporation. Both were on a list of shows I've long wanted to see.

The irony here is that this sports deal is playing out against the backdrop of half the country literally celebrating the execution of a CEO for being a “greedy millionaire”…

I’d hazard a guess that most of the people celebrating the execution wouldn’t mind seeing the same thing happen to the largest beneficiaries of the sports deal, too, just sayin… not sure it’s the example of irony you think it is.

I think the professions of those involved in the sports deal are probably less offensive to the people you’re talking about, but the amounts of money involved in the deal are certainly disgusting, as mentioned…

That’s a good deal for some good shows! Most of the shows I end up at are $50 or less, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

There is greedy and being massively overpaid, and there is being those same things, but getting there by destroying people’s lives.

United Healthcare, and its executives are scumbags.

Beyond just the insane amount of denials and **** over members, what’s generally less known is that they also own Change Healthcare.

Change Healthcare is essentially a payment processing entity for tons of health providers.

Recently Change had a data breach and shut down its service for an extended period of time.

That shutdown royally screwed providers. They literally were not being paid, at all, for months.

Some providers relied heavily on Change for payments. Many went bankrupt.

Guess who is swooping in and scooping up those bankrupt and desperate businesses?

You guessed it, United Healthcare and Change.

The company that bankrupted them, stockpiled cash that wasn’t being paid out, because they weren’t paying them, bought those practices for pennies on the dollar.

    Scumbags.
