sda srs 2.3 polyswitch removal

I have the sda 2.3 speakers, serial# - SRS 2.3 L 3955, they have always sounded muffled with no treble - am wanting to remove the polyswitches as some members have suggested. I am trying to identify them correctly - is a schematic available for the crossover or is a part number available. Pictures would be great - I'll take anything! Already modded the crossovers with new audio film capacitors - made no difference to the sound. Wanting to try this first before replacing all the tweeters.

    Hello, here is the crossover schematic, the poly switch (Safetyguard) is shown. You should be able to test the switch with a volt/ohm meter to see if it is open.

    Two different photos of what they can look like. You should replace them with a 10 or 12 watt 1/2 (.5) ohm resistor. If you do not your tweeters may be too bright.

    I'm looking at the right channel board and I don't see any safety guard components. Looks like it should be physically located next to C5.wns8s5oq2r52.jpeg

    If one is not there I would think there should be a wire to jump the connection.

    Looks like it's just above the Molex connector.

    Here's what I think the capacitor values are:
    C1 20uf 50v NP
    C2 40uf 50v NP
    C3 12uf 50V NP
    C4 750pf 100V
    C5 4.4uf 100v
    C6 12uf 50v NP
    C7 5.8uf 50v NP (to T1 +)

    Yes. I have the schematic, but I was looking for confirmation because it's hard to read some of the values and voltage values are not noted.

    If you're looking to replace with the same stuff that's a fools errand. Get some good poly caps and much better resistors. It will take them to another level. Mine absolutely astound me every time I sit and listen to them.
