A friend of ours, David Gibney, is working on the brick work at the White House and posted this picture:

You're welcome, David is an accomplished restoration expert and a terrific sculpture artist. Working on the White House has been a dream of his for many years. I think he is working on the Rose Garden walkway.

He has recently restored an historic filling station near Oklahoma City on Route 66.

David has made a found object sculpture for me using some circuit boards I gave him. He combined this with glass sheets and large film reels and illuminated it. I have it in the listening room.

Too bad it's not functional
Kind of reminds me of the late Don Garber's Fi electronics, e.g., the (once) popular Fi-X SE 2A3 amplifier (there was an SE 300B morph, as well).

Garber also made a Y-shaped preamp.

hmm... speaking of Xs and Ys...
Wonder if Elon Musk has a Fi-X? He should.
sorry for the digression, @SeleniumFalcon !

It's funny you mentioned that, I'd thought the same thing, combining his design with an actual component. The Dan Garber designs are brilliant, I wasn't aware of them. Thanks!

Right place, right time. They were catalytic in the re-kindled interest in SE DHT amplifiers back in the 1990s. They sound good, too - and they were, when new, reasonably priced.*
On the other hand, they are a pain to work on.
_____________
* Not cheap on the used market, though. They have a cachet that has inflated their value considerably, probably particularly since Don's untimely death/
