I might even try to work on my mansplaining, too. Mansplaining is a term used perjoratively, usually by women, describing a man's inborn need to make things understandable to the fairer sex, so that they don't have to worry their pretty little heads with such matters.

That DUAL tt is interesting. I cannot place it (although I am far from a DUAL expert!). The Steidinger brothers called their company "DUAL" to brand their dual-powered motors (wind-up or electricity). The first DUAL branded record player was supposed to be this one (acoustic reproduction) from 1935, even though the DUAL name was used as far back as 1927.

All the ones I've seen have more gee-gaws on it than that one. I cannot even tell from the photo if that's an acoustic or electric reproducer (I am guessing the latter). Any more images, or a link to the auction?
@mhardy6647 ....... here is the link with more pics.

My first turntable in the 70's was a Dual 1249 (after a record player in the early 60's). Gave the 1249 to a friend in Jackson MS (which is on the way to Austin) a few years ago but still have another 1249. I would like to buy the one in Austin to house a Pioneer turntable if it would work. It's a long drive to pickup.

I have often wondered why a pair of socks was always the same color.
Now I assume it would be okay to wear two different colors/patterns of socks.
That is something I have felt like I wanted to do."Sometimes you have to look to the past to understand where you are going in the future"Harry / Marietta GA -

I saw this article, and I don't see why people didn't like it. Am I missing something?

Tried Cooper River Salmon in an air fryer on Saturday evening.
Cooked for 9 minutes with several spices and olive oil on top.
I wished I had taken a pic of the skin side; such a shinny silver.
The skin was so crispy after cooking.
Excellent!
Copper River Salmon
Fresh first time this year. The Copper River salmon run is the traditional start to the wild salmon season. Why is the Copper River salmon so amazing? The Copper River reaches an elevation of 4380 ft. which means those salmon that are swimming around the Pacific storing up fat for their journey back to their natal ponds have to get very, very fat to make their way up that steep river. Very fat fish are very good eating fish.

Cooper River is good Salmon!
I smoked a big chunk of Steelhead Saturday, boy was it good! I had not yet smoked fish on my offset smoker, mostly due to the lingering smell I've heard of. I cooked the Steelhead on foil and had a big aluminum pan under to catch anything that fell through.
My next smoking adventure will be some King Salmon, now that is GOOD eatin! -
