Here's a photo posted by Freeman Stills, Polk's amazing transducer prototyper, and one of his favorite speakers taken a while back:

Stu Lumsden, the retired head of engineering at Polk, posted that he found what appears to be an SDA CRS on a Doritos super bowl add:

Great new high end product just hit the market. It's a power conditioner from a widely known Nigerian Prince. Get you some while they still last! 8K

The box is supposed to be full of magic crystals. Or maybe it's pebbles. Or just dirt... but not just air.

Anyone who has spent time in the Charm City will understand:

"I just left the dinner dishes in the zink and I was sittin' out on the stoop, hon, just off Blair Road, lookin' up at the chimbley... and there it went!"

My first experience with Balmerese was when I started my first post Air Force civilian job working for Stansbury Stereo in Dundalk. At the time Kodak (often referred to as "Kojac" or "Kodiak") had the Carousel slide projector. Customers would ask if we had the newest Kodiak Casserole. Another was "Palmeroid" for Polaroid. And "fillim" for film to take some "pixtures". Sony became "Zoney" and Klipsch was often called "Klipish".

When my wife was first in grad school, she got directions from a local to go... somewhere... from the JHU environs (Charles & 34th Sts). She was told to take "Blair Road". She had a heck of a time finding it, until someone decoded it for her: Belair Road.
I love the Bawlmer accent -- but I am always taken aback by the similarity of the Philadelphia accent (shared by some of southern NJ, at least to my ear).

My wife and I still use the "Hon" sobriquet where we now live.

What's the tolerance on that resistor? I'm calling Shenanigan's!

That is a really good question!!!
I think it would have to be either zero or infinite, right?
-
As I muse on the zero ohm resistor -- I know what else they'd be good for!

^^^^ Second photo needs a GFCI.

Could be that the breaker for that circuit has one.
-
or another outlet on the circuit has one -- that meets code in NH, at any rate.
