The Administrators of Clare Holland House (Nursing Home) engaged the services of Mr. Gavin Smith, Herpetologist, to assist in the investigation of several missig residents.
One of the missing elders was last heard shouting

This particular well fed specimen was 4 times the normal size and weight of an average adult brown snake

Mrs. H, as I believe I've mentioned here in the past, crossed paths with a cassowary when she was in Oz birding ca. 2010. She really and truly believed, I think, that she was not likely to survive to tell the tale.
Turns out, however, it was a female. The females are (at least relatively speaking) docile. -
