They appear to be in very good condition and the original boxes are a plus. However they are way overpriced in my opinion. -

I paid $30 for my 8T's. $230 for boxes seems spendy... -
Didn't know new condition speakers came with dirty grills & a spill stain down the front. About $200 too much IMHO.

Thinking about picking up these RTA12 the guy selling them has no idea what was done to the XO.

Well.....it might help to have some more info/pictures. Remember this is the early one that has the lobing and combing issues. Check out @Jazzhead discussion on his mods that he has done, including replacing the XO with one from RTA12B iirc.
PS: Or is it the early one? Seems to me the early one didn't have the beveled tweeter surround but just had the tweeter hanging out by itself vertically. Are you sure this is the RTA12 and not the RTA12B or C?George / NJ
