    Always been a fan of early aircraft. I built mine for FF, with the venerable Cox .020 engine, as I didn't have enough money for an RC system back in the day. On it's maiden voyage there was no need for the pilot to surrender, as it crashed! Ah the joys of youth!

    Not to give up, but as a young boy those tissue and balsa models were great, but fragile.

    I built this all wood Taylorcraft model from Comet. The Struct-o-Speed line. Solid balsa wing (already in an airfoil shape), and the fuselage, etc, were all sheet balsa. Rubber powered, this this was great! I could fly it indoors, clip a wing on a lamp, or anything, and it would survive!
