The gentleman whom I got the LSI25's from was a really nice guy. Not only did he give me a killer deal on the speakers, but he also threw in a couple of Monster power conditioners. As well as a blu-ray disc player and all the wiring needed to get these cherry beautes a going.
Oh, I almost forgot he also added a brand new Denon receiver. Nothing fancy though. I believe it retailed for about 5 or 6 hundred bucks a year or so ago.
All in all it was a pretty nice haul for 75 bucks. -
Congrats!

Seems to be a good deal.

My latest pick up. I traded an old Adcom amp that I had stored in the closet for a few years. They need a little tlc, but they're not bad.
-
Nice! I got my mini-me versions out of storage today for some testing.

Own a piece of history! PA system console supposedly from the Pan Am terminal at JFK airport.

This type of unit might explain some of the open reel tapes I found in my dad's collection. They are factory-made compilation tapes, of mostly classical music, and the titles/labels on the boxes are for various airlines. I guess maybe they played the tapes on a RTR deck like this one for overhead music in the terminals."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

Picked these up a couple of days ago for 40 dollars, after passing on some 2.3TL's. Although I've owned several Boston models over the years, the A150's had eluded me. Until now...
They won't remain in their current position, they'll be relegated to a vintage of sorts system headed by a Yamaha CR1020. -

I always loved Carver back in the day. I had a CD player from them. Worked great for years. It finally quit working and I gave it to someone on here. I hope they got it going again.HT/2Channel: Emotiva MMC-1, Adcom GFA-555II, Polk SDA 3.1's, Teac TN-300 TT, Polk Center and Sub.

For all you RTR fans @SeleniumFalcon @mhardy6647

I know some of you really like this preamp. Here is one in the Atlanta area. What do you think of the asking price?

Seems a little high to me. Also it's probably getting due for a refresh of the electrolytics if you worry about those things. $1,000 would be my counter offer.Gustard X26 Pro DAC

I forgot to put the link in the post. I am not thinking of purchasing it. I thought it was high too.

Seems to be a really good price for everything.
Anyone know anything about these Denon POA2200 class A mono amplifiers?
EDIT: I just searched the amps. They were first sold in 1985 (36 years ago).
Therefore, the CL asking price may be appropriate. I'll pass. Don't want Forte's either.
From what I know about Klipsch and Forte's, tubes are definitely the preferred power source.
Those Denon mono blocks might not have been the best mates for the Forte's. -
^^^^ CL ad is gone, Someone snagged this fast.
