Any known issues with any of the drivers?

This isn't a deal per-say, but I thought it was pretty cool for record buyers.
It's at the TT Lab site. I think black T-shirts are on back order though. 30.00

Glenn: I wish I could help you on the Empire subs. I bought one the first week they were offered. It still sits in it's box, never unpacked.
The speaker is sealed rather than ported, goes very low, supposed to be very good for music rather than just for home theater, so I've read.
They are known to have had many amplifier failures. The exact number and/or percentage that fail will probably never be known as they are out of business. I've seen mention if you do not crank up the volume to excess on the sub they will stay working. But that may just be a few people's story.
There have been postings on other forums regarding replacing a failed amp.
The CL asking price of $280.00 for two is very good. Mine was $699.00 new. -
Agree and have also read of amp failures. I've had an Empire in my HT system since approx 2011 and it's currently paired w/my L800's to great affect. Have had a minor issue w/the auto off feature being touchy coming on but set it to on and have no problems. Well worth the price for 2. There are folks that have worked around the failed amps, so think with that in mind and if as advertised won't break the bank for a seriously good payoff. Worst case...one goes down you can cannibalize parts for the other.➀Speakers: Polk1.2tl's (Uber Mods) ➁Pre/Amp/DAC: PS Audio BHK Signature & 250, DirectStream ➂Cables/IC's: MIT S1Bi-Wire/S1 Balanced +Avel Lindberg 1000VA "Dreadnought" ➃Power Conditioner: PS Audio P15 Power Plant ➄Power Cords: Core Power Technologies Gold, DH Labs Power Plus DIY w/Neotech NC-P301 & P311ends ➅Streaming: Roon ROCK on wifi'd NUC, TP-Link WAP, & Uptone EtherREGEN, AfterDark, Emperor Double Crown Clock, Black Modernize LPS, PS Audio AirLens⟿Ω☯☥☮⟿🔊♩♪♫♬♩♪♫♬♩♪♫♬

@ZLTFUL used a Dayton plate amp to replace a blown one.
I have also seen a lot of guys that leave the plate amp physically there but bypass it and use an external pro amp to drive them (after installing a set of binding posts)."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." EPIK LEGEND... an excellent sub for planars
https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=109461.0
My take on it is... any sub with a plate amp might not have as long of life as a robust separate amp. These subs are old and if they were prone to the original issues they would have failed by now. So, there may still be some years left. Nevertheless, if the amp fails, see if it can be repaired or bypass the electronics, leave the amp plate installed to seal the cabinet, then use an external amp to power them.
• Dual opposed is a great way to move some air cleanly!
• Dual opposed drivers cancel cabinet movement/resonance because the driver forces moving in equal and opposite directions cancel.
• Dual opposed subs are a good way to get the most output out of the smallest possible volume.
The cost of a dual opposed sub today is not cheap!

This guy operates just outside of Nashville, flipping estate finds for the most part. I have no affiliation with him, but have purchased from him a few times in the past with very satisfactory results. He lists on US Audiomart, eBay, and perhaps other online marketplace sites as well."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

This is incredibly built and designed walnut wood transmission port designed speakers. It’s incredibly versatile for all types of music from classical to rock. High end drivers. The cabinetry alone is with $2500. It Speaker weighs close to 100lbs.
There is no resonance in this speaker. Incredibly detailed and very expansive sound . It’s one of kind . A project that went very well . These will compete with speakers costing thousands of dollars. Hundreds of hours were spent designing and building these speakers . Just need more space for the next project.
$550 Obo. Hoping to move in a new home by New Years

I hope this helps you connect in some way if you still want to pursue.
I'd sure pay them a personal visit to hear these if they were local.
If I bought them, that would be a second set of home-made speakers like this that I would own. I bought a set with integral stands years ago. The stands are screwed to the speakers from inside the speaker cabinet. Her roommate, who built them, had just passed away. She wanted 5.00 for the pr.. I gave her 20 or maybe even 40. They are that nice. I have them hooked up to one of my receivers now.
These pics were from Dec. 2020.
