    Here's a photo of my TC-850 that I've owned since 1969. I purchased this when I was a part time employee of Sony on Okinawa. This is a different version from what was sold in the US, it has a variable speed control on the right side of the chassis. This particular deck was one of two that was first sent to the store and it stopped working shortly after I bought it and the technician hadn't received any service manuals so he had to look at the second deck they had to figure out what went wrong (a diode failed) with mine. s36mrhzu1515.jpg
