Latest poster with a stellar line up not without a bit of controversy. Hendrix and Led Zeppelin were billed even though both had prior commitments. Zeppelin brought suit against the producer Bob Blodgett and Blodgett retaliated by booking Hendrix anyway. He offered to fly Jimi in via Lear Jet and pay him 30K which in 1969 was an unheard amount of money for a any rock act.

Jimi took the offer and was said to have played an outstanding set and L.Z was of course a no show.

And Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters, wow.

One notes that many other epochal acts of the time are also listed on that poster.
And in Santa Clara, to boot?! Wow.
Interesting piece of music history. Great in its time. Sorry guys but it ain’t all that considering what or rather who came along a few years later.

Well, that was harsh... Hopefully you just wanted to get your jam on. Not perfect, but still great for a 14yr old who also plays cello at an exception level, is the top distance runner the county, and is well on his way to eagle scout. If I can figure out how to post the video from my phone I will. Not to mention he was nervous as well.

Not meaning to be harsh... just wanting to hear some music. sorry my post came across that way.

Sorry @nooshinjohn , my oldest son, not the one in the picture has been pushing my buttons as of late. I'm constantly on the defensive. Coming from you, I should have known better. Rock on!

It happened again this week in Marietta GA. The wooden bridge was damaged. Red Bull Truck struck and stuck.

There are a lot idiots driving our roads.

I'd disagree with you with one exception:
    Lee Michael's

Was the ONLY act I've ever seen boo'd off the stage.
1972, BILL Graham's 'Winterland' in SF
    Played "Heighty High"
Played "Do You Know What I Mean"

Then....ugh....he attempted to...I dunno...one note tune his guitar ? Imitate Robin Trower ?
Whatever it was it was so bad that the laid back folks in the crowd boo'd so loud that he actually stopped "playing", attempted to say something (Maybe 'F You' ?), and stormed off the stage.
......to the thunderous cheers of the crowd.
    It was sad, yet awesome.

Anyhow, the rest of the lineup on that poster is/was AAA+++. 👍😃
