30 years here and we're still in the jets fly route. We have them fly over all the time. While taking photos of those winter Daises the other day, I just pointed the camera up and got lucky. Only had time to click 4 times before they were gone.

Sometimes they're SLOW and VERY LOUD. Sometimes FAST and LOUD. Sometimes just a few seconds of PURE SPEED with a WOOSH like these 3 did! :p B) Maybe there were 4 at first. :D

Captain Samantha Cristoforetti (Italian Air Force and ESA), posted this photo of herself in Star Trek Voyager uniform on Twitter from the ISS.

The Space X Dragon capsule pictured was about to deliver, amongst other things, the first espresso machine for the ISS, so now they won't be limited to instant (which really doesn't taste much like coffee).

Gah! Socks with sandals? NO THANK YOU!

They must not have been a favorite pair... don’t seem to have suffered much from extended use!

Probably ritual sandals for the afterlife -- low mileage in this world :)
I'm just musing, though -- archaeology is something I know little about... much less Egyptology, nor anthropology.

The socks/sandals thing -- the Romans, apparently, did it. They were heavily armed (for their day), though... so -- I mean -- who would throw shade at 'em for doin' it? :)

The dig was in North Yorkshire! England would be cold enough for a Roman, never mind northern England, so who could blame them for trying to keep their tootsies toasty before battle?! :D
