Yeah they are! I only recently became aware. Apparently that model came out in 1978 and it is hard to find details on them but some rave reviews on forums. They may be the originators of the sattelite/subwoofer concept. The SV-200 is very interesting and I'm putting in a saved search. 18Hz to 20,000Hz +/- 3dB with a powered subwoofer built in with 200W amplifiers.

10K retail speakers aren't likely to be used with a cheap receiver. I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Agreed but everywhere I've looked they are $2500 per pair so the list price of $5000 ea. seems to be marketing tactic.George / NJ

Interesting. How does a passive radiator work when it's in a separate cabinet?
-
That was my first thought!
There has to be a port connecting them or the owner doesn't know what he/she has.
I'm going to the web on this right now. Yup, a huge portal between the two cabinets.

I had a VERY NICE older Kenwood Component system with older Kenwood speakers.
I sold it for 500.00 10+ years ago and that too was a regretful sale. The speakers were like these KL-777 I believe. They sounded great to me, but I'm easy to please;
The amp I think I had. It never got over slightly warm, and that was after jamming for hours while washing our vehicles and waxing one or two. AHHH the good ol' days when I could do that easily.
