I know nothing about these, whether it's a deal, just a so-so price, or 'you're out of your mind asking that kind of money'... Just a cool looking vintage set of speakers:

My neighbor had these along with a Sansui stereo receiver Was my 1st introduction to decent stereo sound back in the 70's.Yep, my name really is Bob.
Parasound HCA1500A(indoor sound) and HCA1000(outdoor sound), Dynaco PAS4, Denon DP1200 w/Shure V15 Type V and Jico SAS stylus, Marantz UD7007, Polk L600, Rythmik L12 sub. -
The cabinets on the vintage Sansui speakers are amazing and they sound pretty good too. They don’t seem to command high prices though. I have seen them on CL for $100 -$150.

One of my roommates in college had a full blown Sansui system he got overseas when he was in Nam and left for the states. He said he spent $2,500 on it and this was in the early seventies.
That was my introduction to a nice system. I hated it when he moved out.Yamaha RX-A2070, Musical Fidelity M6si integrated amp, Benchmark Dac1, Bluesound NODE 2i, Audiolab 6000CDT CD Transport, Parasound Zphono USB Phono Preamp, Fluance RT85, Ortofon 2M Bronze, Polk L600's, L400, L900's, RC80i's, SVS 3000 Micro, Audioquest Interconnects and Digital Cables, Nordost Silver Shadow Digital Cable, Cullen Gold and Crossover Series Power Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha 12AWG OCC Speaker Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha Analog Interconnect Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha 11 OCC Custom Power Cable, Signal Power Cable, Furman PL-8C 15 Power Conditioner, Sony 65" 900F, Sony UBP-X700, Fios, Apple TV 4K, Audioquest Chocolate HDMI Cables. -
That was a relatively common speaker design back then. My first decent speakers were the Pioneer CS-A700 I bought in 72.

Pair of WW Silver Eclipse XLR's for sale on USAM. These don't come up very often. If you have the ability to connect your pre and amp(s) with balanced cables these are REALLY good. In no way accentuated or overpower certain frequencies but simply make everything better from deep bass to the upper most registers.

Yea I wish. I do not think its a large enough jump from my 8008bb. Very nice none the less. I'm not sure are those Mondial or Klipsch design?

Mondial designed. The originals and MkII were under Mondial. Even the Palladium 1K which were released once acquired by Klipsch were still the same Mondial designed amp but just with new outer case work that the Klipsch people wanted. If it had the 8008 or Palladium name, it was Mondial work...Klipsch started with new number sequences under the Aragon name and they were never in the same ballpark as the original designs.
I’ve always been on the lookout for a pair but never show up close enough or at a reasonable price. They claim I think, 85watts class A but I’m not sure that is 100 percent true. Either way the palladium’s run further into class A than the 8008 models with about twice as much power overall I believe. -

They are very nice here is what I found on them.
The implementation of Class A outputs eliminates any possiblity of crossover notch distortion. The high bias required for Class A operation provides for the bipolar output transistors to operate without switching within the monoblock Palladium's 125 watt Class A power rating. Power is supplied to the circuits by a specially wound 2000VA transformer.
I bought my 8008bb from a guy in Tennessee for 1300.00. I've see them go for up to 1600+. Mine was tested and 8ohm bench test was in excess 300wpc 4ohm was 450wpc. The gentleman I bought it from was an engineer for Emotiva in Franklin Tennessee.
Here he is with my amp being tested to assure me it was in perfect condition.
I've had it since about March, it replaced the 4004mk2 I bought from Keith. I'm totally liking the articulation these amps have. These amps are old enough they're due shortly for a recap and gone through.nooshinjohn wrote: »Go get them P-dog...

They really are great amps. I had the 8008 mkii...Mondial design with Klipsch cosmetics that I purchased from a fellow member here. One of the couple amps I should have kept. It seemed to have never ending power.
