I think there was a set in the mid-west or somewhere, in a big house with a big window wall to the right of them, maybe in a mountainous area, maybe not...BUT
I think the price was 90,000.00 and the ad stayed active for a year or two. It would pop up in my eBay recommendations every 4 months or so.

Never done it. I had thought about doing it but other things in life have taken over. They currently sit in my office in Hartsville waiting for some love. I would love to get a tutorial while someone did it for me.Are you going to do the re-foaming yourself?

Not hard. Most woofers you don't even need to remove the dust cap. Just use a 30Hz test tone to center. But if you're interested in sending them to be done, I'll put in a plug for Bill LeGall of Millersound.

I agree, after the first attempt I became a maniac re-foaming Infinity speakers and a few other brands known to have rotting surrounds. It seems right after my first re-foaming job, I bought a bunch of speakers that appeared on Craig's list REALLY CHEAP because of the surrounds deteriorating. Infinity's, ARs and a set of Cerwin Vega's were brought back to like new..
And of course I did a friends couple of speakers and a subwoofer too.
I watched this video from a replacement foam surround Co before my first attempt. It really gave me confidence!
I didn't use a tone signal since all the ones I did, the cones had some space around the center pole.
