I bet that was some good food.

I still remember when Taco Bell 🔔 had the 29, 39, 49 cent menus. Tacos for .29 was great for a high school student making $3.64 an hour.

Received my new-to-me Brunton Liberty lantern. Wish I’d gotten one of these when they were in retail stores back in the early 2000’s. Always wanted one, but couldn’t justify 80 some bux for it.
    ogzjdzhod3hh.jpegj7z0psagbrbh.jpeg
Kids are grown up now, so I can spend a little more freely. Ha
I’m running it through an adapter that lets me hook it to Coleman please tanks, hence the yellow color. When used with isobutane, it emits a bright white light.
Still very bright. Made of titanium, with a piezo ignition.
Be sure not to touch the glowing red end!

^^^ Hmm. Looks like any of several amplifiers here -- most of those were more than 80 dollars, though.

@mhardy6647 If that’s an amp, it’s much cooler -figuratively, than my lantern.

    I thought that was a big car...until I saw the driver's head.

    I'll bet that thing flies!

    L-O-L-A Lola.
Gorgeous automobiles, from an era when the racing cars were beautiful, too.

I wish ground effects was outlawed in racing. Yes the cars would be slower, but there is nothing like seeing a car going into a corner in a 4 wheel drift at 80 or over MPH. I also think it takes more talent to drive a high HP non-ground effects car. Watch a F1 race from the 60's and how they drove the cars back then, much more enjoyable to watch the drivers and how they handled their cars.

I also wish the cars as far as F1 didn't all look alike like they do now (also applies to NASCAR). However I am glad the cars are much safer now as too many drivers were lost back then.

@mhardy6647 I posted that pic because it came up last night when I was reading about the THX 1138 movie, that's what they used to design their police cars after.

I bet you knew that George Lucas used the name of his film "THX1138" for his company.

Yup, that I did know... even though Tomlinson Holman's name is also associated with that THX.
But, yeah, you're a movie pug guy.
