    Not the Prince of old but, IMO, a damn fine album. Funky and laid back with a nice nod to his guitar chops. Several trademark Princely screeches. Check your preconceptions of him and keep an open mind on this one and the subsequent albums PlectrumElectrum, HITnRUN Phase One and Phase Two. The guy was on my concert bucket list. Unfortunate loss.

    I've dialed my system in this week with acoustic treatments between the SDA's. Resulted in a massive improvement with the production (mix) of Art Official Age; soundstage has opened up and there is wonderful depth. Sound effects Prince used really add to the story. Again, may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm glad you're giving it a spin. Interested in your thoughts!
