The amount of spam in the "speakers" forum this morning. Is this most I've ever seen on this page. Prime example of the needs for a mod(s). Looks very bad if a new customer visits this forum and see that. A full page and a half of spam.

I'll throw my hat in the ring as well. Being retired I can devote much more time to the task.

Have zero problems with Jesse also should the mod hat find a home with him. Plus we'd get free wood working advice, now that's a bonus in my book. :)

We all sure knew Ken (and sure miss him) so not knowing the moderator is not a smart move.
I would love to see 2 or 3 of our long time members handle it.
Creepy?? Whatever you have to say in a PM that is your business but if a moderator makes periodic checks into that ..WHO CARES?? If it's gossip you don't want known to anyone but that said recipient of the message and you think it could be damaging ..don't use the forum for that. Call that member.
Hats off to the 2 members willing to do this and I dig both of them. Jess and Dogg don't play and I think they are both serious about not only the hobby but as much so about our community. Good luck to both and a big No to an anonymous moderator.
And having no Moderator?? Give me some of what you're sippin'🎩

Oh big heck yeah to Tony as a moderator too. How great it is we have members willing to fill them shoes.

Moderation takes two or three people with access to cover time but should not require much effort. My “votes” would go to F1nut and tonyb.

    ^^^Agree^^^ both great posts.
There are a few other solid people here too that could provide a very meaningful contribution. Whatever we get I hope no attempt is made to run this place like a daycare because of a few thin skinned people who are always looking to be offended.

If I could throw a name out there in addition....I nominate Rick88 to moderate the The Clubhouse. His posts and pictures from back in the day livened the place up. Glad he is back.

KenCS, thanks for continuing to drop in to flush the toilet in the Speaker section. lol

Ha...I seem to recall Ken S. installing a 2 strikes and your out rule after much aggravation. I would make it a 2 dead fish rule. You get a dead fish in your mailbox after each offense. :) Somehow, I think that message is fairly universal, no ? :)

agreed, though I didn't see it personally, from what I understand it was brutal. Dealing with this stuff swiftly is a top priority so it stays off of Polks wall.

Yeah, most brutal I've ever seen on any website actually. Probably 40 or better separate posts. Saw them first around 5:30am. Started dissapearing around 8am. Let's just say, Jesse was very popular. And a few others as well.

Yeah, it’s ongoing. Some 10-year old has a lot of access to the computer when mommy and daddy are sleeping or at work.
