In Jerome of all places too
It's near where he and his wife live and have a grape vineyard for making wine.
Learn to swim, see you down in Arizona bay.
Yeah I've heard of their vineyard. One of my favorite places to go for a weekend escape is a couple minutes south of Jerome. Just funny to me seeing a small town in my home state as the location of their release party.
It is purdy up there though.Just a dude doing dude-ly things

I know that when I skimmed through the reviews posted earlier, the reviewers only got to hear the CD version. That makes me think the material left off is more of a "director's cut" vs cutting down the album just for time. I'm still not really clear if those extra tracks are hitting streaming or not.Tracklist came out. Kind of a bummer that the cd version isn't the full experience. Three segue tracks will be included in the download, but not the CD. If length is the issue I would have preferred a double disc. Maybe the songs have enough built in passages themselves to cleanse the palette, but those are typically pretty helpful with Tool cd's.Analog: Hana ML > VPI Prime Signature 21 > Bob's Devices Sky 20-S > Sutherland 20/20 w/LPS

I've been mulling it over all day and I'm 95% sure I haven't been this excited for an album release since high school.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

I agree bro. Can’t wait.

10,000 Days came out well after high school but for whatever reason I wasn't nearly this excited for it.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Undertow came out when I was in HS. That was epic.
-
Definitely a great release.
Their black album came out in my HS career and it was received with controversy
Although I love that album too. -

I've been keeping my Telefunken 5965 long plate out of my preamp to keep the hours off of it but that baby is going in on the 29th at 11 PM to start warming up.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

I remember Riki Rachtman losing his schitt over it on Headbangers ball
I graduated in ‘92 but I remember Riki and the Headbangers Ball (theme song by Prong!). I discovered Alice In Chains on that show. Went out and bought the cassette tape the next day at Rolling Stones records in Norridge Illinois.
I loved the stop motion videos by tool. Totally bad a s s. Adam Jones worked for Rick Lazzarini’s Creature Shop before leaving to play music full time (I thought be was at Lucasfilm before leaving to play music).HT Speakers: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * RSL Speedwoofer 12S

I doubt it, I think this is it. You could always buy it digitally and burn your own copy spread across two CD's, or remove the tracks they removed for a single disc.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

Here's a little kid unboxing the CD if you want to see that though. Warning, the way he handles it will make you want to scream at him through your screen.

I bought some new tools* at Harbor Freight last week.
I had coupons and everything.
I didn't think to record any unpackaging videos, though.
______
* well... they're like tools. In a dim light, they're practically indistinguishable from actual tools.

I'm going to hold off on leaks and unboxing. Hopefully I'll get a shipping notice today or tomorrow.Analog: Hana ML > VPI Prime Signature 21 > Bob's Devices Sky 20-S > Sutherland 20/20 w/LPS

mmm... leaky tools...

I.. umm... wha?...
I am reminded of a record review I read in the 1980s (probably by Steve Simels). I don't remember the record, or even the genre (rock/pop of some sort). I do, indelibly, remember that the review began with the statement:I must not take the right kind of drugs.
Apropos of nothing: our son went through a Tool phase in college (or maybe early in grad school). I remember listening to a bit, with his encouragement -- it sounded good on the big-boy hifi, but reminded me of some sort of ill-advised breeding experiment between Pink Floyd and metal. But, of course, de gustibus non est disputandum. Not my cuppa chai, but I can understand the attraction. That video, though... mmm.
Y'all enjoy your new Tool, leaked or otherwise!
